“It’s a great advance but there’s a big caveat…in order to be effective they need to be used early on in the disease.” Professor Deenan Pillay was interviewed on Sky News about Pfizer’s new anti-viral drug which has been shown to reduce risk of serious disease by 89 per cent. He said that people with symptoms should get tested as soon as possible.
